Managers: Lowell Buschert & Theresa Bassett-Price
Cherry Lea House started operations in May 2003. Originally the house was built and lived in by Theresa's uncle who is now deceased. He lived in the residence for some 40+ years. The original decor of the house included bright shiny wallpaper, gold shag carpets, olive green walls and carpet in the kitchen. Extensive work was done to completely redecorate the inside of the house and replace it with natural colors and materials. The theme of the house is a Pacific northwest theme with blues, greens, wood elements and oceanic themes in the stained glass panels. The idea of the house was to provide a refreshing and relaxing environment in which guests could enjoy their vacation time. The Cadboro Bay area, is an oceanside environment with plenty of lush vegetation and beautiful gardens. A perfect setting for Cherry Lea House. In the future, the relaxation and rejuvenation theme will be enhanced with the addition of exercise equipment, and in house spa treatments from a registered spa operator in the Victoria area. Aesthetic improvements will include more flowering plants and shrubs in the gardens and some water features to provide visual and auditory benefits.
