Welcome to USATalkCheap.com. We specialize in helping you find the best
long distance provider for residential or small business
domestic or international use. All of them except the Zero
Cents unlimited
plan are direct dial (you do not have to
dial a 1010 number or any extra numbers) that provide detailed monthly
billing. We are determined to help you save
on all of your calls. We also provide quotes for
T1 line customers.
How do they offer such low rates?
They buy their network time from larger companies like Qwest,
MCI, and Global Crossing. Therefore, you also get excellent phone
line quality and reliability from an extensive fiber optic network.
Since they buy in bulk, you get a deep discount.
They also do not have the high advertising costs of a major
company and can spend their money to provide a real good
price to you.
How do I find the best carrier in my calling area?
Use the calculator
to see a comparison of companies
in your area. When you enter the first six digits of your phone number starting
with the area code and an estimate of your monthly usage in minutes, you will
be shown a list sorted in order
of low cost per month.
Cogniworld is also an international phone provider, Zero Cents
is a unlimited calling plan
, Talk America has a
bundled local and long distance, TTI National has a small business plan,
and Opex offers a prepaid discount
and a free calling offer.
Compare our phone carriers
to IDT, Sprint, Bellsouth, Excel, Verizon, ATT, and SBC.
Do any resellers have instate rates less than 3 cents per minute?
Yes. Global FiberNet
does in parts of some states.
Michigan - 2.29 cents, Wisconsin - 2.45 cents, Indiana - 2.45 cents, Illinois 2.55 cents,
Kentucky - 2.75 cents, Ohio - 3.00 cents, Georgia - 3.05 cents, and Tennessee - 3.05 cents.
After you use the calculator, be sure to check
Global FiberNet.
How do I sign up online?
After using the calculator
to find a company in your area,
click on the link to go
to the web site. You will find a link for an "Online Service
Request Form". The online signup is an easy way to securely switch
your service right over the internet. Once you have completed
the online signup, you will receive an automated recorded confirmation
call to the number being switched and an email from
the new carrier. The confirmation call records your
voice and is required for activation. If you miss your confirmation
call, you will be able to go to your order form and trigger
another call.
After you sign up
Please allow 5 to 7 days for your
service to be switched. If you want to check
if you have been switched, wait about five
days after being signed up and call the toll free number you
were given in the confirmation email from the line that
is being switched. If you are switching to Unitel flat rate
phone service and hear a recording for Global
Crossing, then your service has been successfully switched.
Global Crossing is the underlying network provider for Unitel.
Note - Switching Fees from your local phone company
Unitel, Opex, PNG, and TTI National will credit any switching
fees from your local phone company. Make a copy of your local
phone bill with the switching fees on it and send it with
your next monthly payment and the amount for the switching
fee will be deducted from your bill. For TTI National, you
must call customer service and tell them the amount charged
for switching. Covista Communications will credit switching
fees for small business long distance customers only. A typical
charge for switching your phone service is $5 for changing the
local toll and $5 for changing the interstate
for a total of $10 per line.
