Welcome!
If you would like to work on an Alaskan fishing boat, or if you're
a skipper looking for good crew, you've come to the right place
Job-hunters, please listen up. This Web site and its online resume system were
developed by licensed Alaskan fishing boat skippers. It is the only
one of its kind. We provide you with two things; the AFJC
ToolKit, containing all the information you must know in order
to be a well-prepared crewmember; and your own personal CrewCode,
that enables you to post and maintain a live-linked resume in our
Skipper's Area.
There is a labor shortage in Alaska these days. We need you!
To cover expenses, we charge $34.95 for the ToolKit and CrewCode package,
plus shipping. That includes set-up of your CrewCode Profile in the
Skipper's Area, which can be viewed by every licensed commercial fishing
and crab-boat operator in Alaska (but nobody else). Many skippers
hire from our site, because it is by far the richest single source
of inexperienced but motivated young men and women from all over America.
At any given time we have several hundred job-seekers in our database,
but there are several thousand entry-level crew positions available.
We charge no other fees or annual membership costs, so you can modify
your Profile and contact information as much as you wish, for as long
as you wish. Many of our applicants have found multiple jobs by using
AFJC.
Links to the left should answer any other questions you have. If not,
e-mail us at the address below. We encourage you to order today.
Thank you,

"I now know that I am capable of anything. I can't even
describe in words what I have gone through this summer. It
was the hardest work I have ever done and my eyes have been
opened to the fact that the world is a wonderful place filled
with many adventures. I am unstoppable."
-Daniel Mullins,
AFJC Crewmember
"It was because of having your "ToolKit" in hand, his dream
became a reality. Thank you."
-Betsy Potocik, Daniel's
Mullins' proud mom
"Your Crew Code Profile is very effective and I do
not think I would have gotten a job so easily without it.
Thank you so very much for making a dream come true."
-Jason Arndt Deltona, FL
"Its hard work, but a one-of-a-kind experience. My
only regret is that I didn't get up there five years ago."
-Jacob Hewko Seattle, WA
"The Alaska Fishing Jobs Clearinghouse is a great way to
make contacts and to learn about what the AK fishing industry
is all about. It enabled me to contact over 300 captains in
a timely fashion and allowed me to secure a job in the Bristol
Bay sockeye fishery. That summer ranks as one of my most lucrative,
hardworking and fun. Good job guys".
-Bill Hunter, Binghamton, NY
