Details about our Self Catering Gite Accommodation in Brittany

Our gites offer a peaceful and private setting in a rural area of Brittany ideal for both exploring and relaxing.  It is an ideal family holiday location as it is just one kilometre from a small bustling town called Gouarec, about 8 kilometres from Lac de Guerledan, 35 minutes from the north Brittany coast at St Brieuc and an hour or so from the south Brittany coast. There are 2 gites both newly decorated and furnished: Les Rossignols Gite which sleeps up to 6 plus a baby and Les Chouettes Gite which sleeps up to 8.

The ground floor is a spacious open plan area with exposed beams and a wood burning stove set into an original granite fireplace, 2 comfortable sofas (one being a double sprung sofa bed), TV/video, music centre, dining table and chairs, and well equipped and fitted kitchen area with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. There is a wide selection of English books, videos and board games to suit all ages. A door leads out to the private fenced rear garden and patio area with table, chairs, sunshade, barbecue and outdoor games. There is a locked gate which opens to the swimming pool and terrace to which you will be given a key.

Pine stairs lead to the first floor:
Bedroom 1 with double bed, Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds and a Shower Room. The cottage is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels.

Les Chouettes Gite (New for Summer 2004)

Les Chouettes Gite is an early sixteenth century stone cottage in typically Breton style. The ground floor is a spacious open plan area with exposed beams and a wood burning stove set into an original granite fireplace, 2 comfortable sofas, TV/video, music centre, dining table and chairs, and well equipped and fitted kitchen area with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. There is a wide selection of English books, videos and board games to suit all ages. There is a private fenced garden and patio area with table, chairs, sunshade, barbecue and outdoor games. There is a locked gate which opens to the swimming pool and terrace to which you will be given a key.

Bedroom 1 with a king size bed and en-suite shower room, Bedroom 2 with a double bed, Bedroom 3 with 2 sets of sturdy pine bunk beds, and shower room. The cottage is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels.

English owners separate accommodation is within the grounds so we are on
hand to help you get the most out of your holiday

For those who want a complete rest from cooking, we also offer packed lunches and evening meals (including barbecues!) by arrangement for our guests. Vegetarians and other diets can also be catered for on request.

Parking:  there is ample parking within the grounds

Baby Equipment:  No need to bring yours and take up valuable space in your
car because we can provide cot, high chair and baby bath for you; but as
formula milk is expensive here and you may not be able to get your usual
brand, it's a good idea to bring your own supply.

NEW FOR 2004 - swimming pool 9.3 x 5.6/3 x 1.2 metres which has been carefully located and landscaped to be in the sun all day but where there are nearby mature trees to provide that all important shade when necessary. Sun loungers, chairs, tables and parasols provided.
