Welcome to New South Wales.
New South Wales has a very diverse climate. Many magnificent ocean beaches stretch along its coastline. The Great Dividing Range is 50 kilometres inland and the western slopes and plains reach west to dusty semi desert areas. In the south are the snow covered Snowy Mountains where Sydney-siders can enjoy snow sports.
Most of the state is farmed for wool and wheat but the mining of one of the largest coal deposits in the world is a dominant industry.
While travelling around the state you can enjoy a wide range of sports and other activities. Skiing, swimming, surfing, bushwalking, horse-riding, diving or sailing - they are all here waiting for you in New South Wales.
