December 5th – Oak Island Tree Lighting and Brunswick Concert Band – Wind Ensemble. 6pm, Middleton Park. Oak Island. Free. Sponsor: Oak Island Parks and Recreation Department.

December 5th - “Once Upon A Clothesline”. 8pm, Centennial Center, Southport. Fee: $7 adults, $5 kids 12 & under. Sponsor: Stage Stuck Players.

December 6th – Santa Drops In At Skate Park. 2-4pm, Oak Island Skate Park. Have your picture taken with Santa and made into a button! He will also write letters to children who bring their wish list.
Fee: Free for ages 10 and under. Sponsor: Oak Island Parks & Recreation Department.

December 12th – 3rd Annual Holiday Candy Cane Show. 5-6pm, Corner of Fodale Avenue & Howe Street. Fee: Free. Sponsor: City Works Foundation.

December 13th – Used Book Sale. 10am-4pm, Friends of the Library Building/Jail Annex on Rhett Street. Fee: Sale. Sponsor: Friends of the Library.

December 13th – Help Your Neighbor Day. 10am-6pm, Oak Island Skate Park. Bring a canned food or non-perishable food item to the Skate Park for Free Admission all day. Fee: Donation of food. Sponsor: Oak Island Parks & Recreation Department.
