Map 310. Yellow fever-endemic zones in the Americas, 02/06/03. Roughly speaking, these zones cover Panama, at the southern tip of Central America, and spread through the central interior section of South America.

In South America, areas affected include

  • all of Colombia except its western edge;
  • all of Venezuela except a crescent covering the northernmost coast;
  • Trinidad and Tobago;
  • Guyana;
  • Suriname;
  • French Guiana;
  • Ecuador, except coastal areas
  • Peru, except coastal areas;
  • Brazil, except the central eastern area to the coast, and all coastal areas south of Sao Luis;
  • eastern Bolivia;
  • the extreme northern tip of Argentina where it adjoins Brazil and Paraguay.
