Mountain area forecasts

We provide mountain area forecasts for four districts (West Highlands, East Highlands, Lake District and Snowdonia). If you're planning any outdoor activity like climbing, hill walking or orienteering in these districts, use our specialist phone and fax services.

In association with the Wales Tourist Board and the Welsh Assembly Government we produce free mountain weather forecasts for the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia National Parks.

Mountain safety

Mountains can be inhospitable and dangerous places for the ill prepared. The forecasts we provide can help you keep safe on the mountains.
