This year's Harrah's / Harveys Outdoor Concert Series
has been a smashing success. And there's more to
come. Heavy rockers - Third Eye Blind hit the stage
this weekend. Those legends of Southern Rock, ZZ Top,
will tear it up on Aug. 23rd, and then - Ringo Starr with
his All Starr Band kick off Labor Day Weekend on Aug.
29th. It doesn't get any better than that - unless, we add
more to the mix. Post Labor Day - don't miss The Beach
Boys live at Harrah's.
At Caesars Tahoe, check out one of our absolute
favorite Bay Area rockers, Bozz Scaggs - followed by
the return of the Go-Gos. And you'll laugh it up with the
Improv All Stars on Aug. 22nd & 23rd. Then, shake your

| INSIDER TIPS: VAHALLA, BOATHOUSE THEATER AT TALLAC |

Last issue we passed on some tips for great dining and
some key Tahoe attractions. Now we'll share a few
details on one of South Shore's best secrets - the Tallac
Historic Site, home to Valhalla, its Summer Music &
Arts Festival and the picturesque Boathouse Theater.
This restored historic complex of estates is located on
the southwest end of Tahoe's shoreline, on the way to
Emerald Bay and adjacent to Camp Richardson Resort &
Marina. Rent bikes and take the trails to Valhalla or
drive. You'll see a bit of what Lake Tahoe was like in the
19th century. And then there's the outdoor music! This
Sat. on the Valhalla lawn, don't miss their annual live
Reggae & Brewfest. On Sun. catch the Wine Tasting and
Jazz event with Jazz Fusion Band, Faldo's Toy. Next, it's
the !Akimbo! world band, the Celtic Music of Golden
Bough, the Third Degree Blues Band followed by the
Blues Box Bayou Band and Miss Freida & the Cajun
Fusiliers.
And there's indoor theater! The Boathouse Theater is the
best little playhouse this side of Cape Cod. The Valhalla
Players and our own Tahoe Community College have
presented entertaining shows throughout the summer.
On Aug. 30th, the Tahoe Improv Players return for their
summer finale. Then catch the Valhalla Players in Boys
Next Door, opening Sept. 5th. for 2 weekends.
