Sample Action

On Capitol Hill

We Need Your Help!

World Learning's mission and values can best be advanced in a public policy environment that supports intercultural understanding, international education and training, and social and economic development in poorer nations. While not fundamentally an advocacy organization, World Learning is an active member of several coalitions of like-minded non-governmental groups that take an active role in educating and advising policymakers on international funding and programs.

Please be an "advocate" and contact your representatives in Congress in support of constructive U.S. global engagement. Urge your Representative and Senators to support:

  • International Development and Training
  • Intercultural Experience through International Exchange
  • International Education Programs

To get started, you can visit the Sample Action and Advocacy Action links. Please feel free to personalize your letter with your own story of your experience with intercultural exchange. Your voice can make a difference.

As of this writing, mail is still not being delivered regularly on Capitol Hill. Please plan to email or fax your correspondence if possible. You can identify your representatives and find out how to contact them at Contacting the Congress (http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/).
