Zhongyin
(Ningbo) Battery Co., Ltd. is a joint venture formed by Gold Peak
Industries (Holding) Ltd. and Ningbo Sonluk Battery Co., Ltd. Currently
we are vice director and a standing member of China Battery Industry
Association. Our key subsidiaries include Ningbo Engineering and Technology
Development Center of Chemical Power Sources, Ningbo Battery & Electrical
Appliance Import & Export Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Pairdeer Trading Co.,
Ltd. The registered capital of the company is USD 15 million, and
the total investment amounts to USD 28 million.
We are a leading primary mercury
and  cadmium
free alkaline manganese battery and carbon-zinc battery manufacturer
in China. SONLUK, PAIRDEER and GOLDENBEE are our registered brands.Our
manufacture factory occupies a land of 56,000 square meters. We have
21 assembly lines for the manufacture of alkaline batteries and carbon-zinc
batteries, among which seven lines of LR20, LR14, LR6 , LR03 and LR1
batteries were introduced from Japan, Denmark and South Korea. The
annual output of the alkaline batteries amounts to 670 million in
2003,which means that we becomes the No. 1 alkaline battery manufacturer
in China . The total output of batteries amounts to 850 million in
2003. In 2002, PAIRDEERwas named China Top Brand by the national government
authority concerned. PAIRDEER has become one of the most well-known
brands in Chinese market.
There are more than 1,000 employees
in our company, among whom R&D;, QC, QA, engineering staffs and other
professionals are over 200. We have a strong R&D; team that dedicates
to the advancement of battery technology. We adopted IEC60086 series
standards for all our products. We obtained an ISO9002 certificate
in 1997.In addition to the persistent quality improvement, we have
always been committed ourselves to the environmental protection. In
September 2002, we successfully passed the audit of ISO9001:2000 quality
management system and ISO14001:1996 environment management system
conducted
by the world-renowned Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and had the certificates
issued. During the nationwide battery quality inspection in successive
years from 2001 to 2003, the discharge performances of our LR20, LR14,
LR6, LR03 alkaline batteries have been ranking No.1 in China.
We have a perfect national sales network though 70% of our products are sold abroad. In 2003 our sales income reached USD 88 million,USD 65 million of which was from export sales.
For future development, we are going to invest Sonluk Sci-Tech Park. Totally the assembly lines of alkaline batteries will produce 1.2 billion cells per year. The annual output value will grow up to USD1.5 billion. In addition, we also plan to invest in the production of Li-ion battery and the total investment is estimated to exceed USD12 million; The production capacity of Li-ion battery will amount to 15 million and the annual output value will reach USD69 million, the sales income will exceed USD 240 millions. All these activities will make us a base of both alkaline batteries and Li-ion batteries as well in China. Our batteries will eventually become an internationally recognized brand.
