Beny Sofer, Inc. has prided itself for over 30 years, as a
true one-stop-shopping store for all diamond needs. Since
the beginning, the company has grown very quickly, establishing
long and profitable relationships with both individual and
business customers. Already with a successful and efficient
computerized infrastructure in place, the company feared changing
systems, but needed to meet customers demands for real
time information, ordering, and inventory updates.
Solution:
An aesthetically appealing, fully database driven, password
protected B2B online application to be used for displaying
and searching the latest inventory, and corporate information
was developed by MachroTech. Fully integrated with Beny Sofers
internal system and complete with a full-featured backend
management console, the site allows administrators to monitor,
manage, and track corporate user accounts, orders, enquiries,
and set customer-specific viewing permissions and price levels.
MachroTech developed a data dissemination engine
for Beny Sofer that extracts information from a third party
diamond inventory management software, RightClick®. The
engine runs as a batch process and updates the online database
with the latest inventory data, making it available for clients
to query. This self-support system is now helping Beny Sofer
service more customers faster and more efficiently, and has
already reduced the support call volumes significantly. Encouraged
by the results so far, Beny Sofer plans to continue investing
proactively into technology over the next year by porting
more of their business processes online and thereby improving
their bottom line.
