Senior SQL DBA with Enterprise Data Experience |

| Job Description: |
The Senior DBA will work in a team with engineering and content groups and will be responsible for evaluation, implementation and support of all database systems deployed for internal and external customer systems support teams. Primary focus will be supporting SQL Server database systems within the Data Warehouse, Global Registration, Advertising, and various other systems; hardware configurations, network and systems design and architecting, performance and optimization, process improvement, and systems documentation. Some work with web applications, content delivery systems, and networking. Additional tasks as assigned.

| Qualifications: |
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience; 5 plus years of demonstrated IT work experience; emphasis towards production support of high capacity mission-critical SQL Server database systems with significant Internet components; some experience with general WIN systems admistration. Some work with content delivery systems, custom software implementation are included

| Desired Skills & Experience: |
-5+ years experience a must
-Expertise in SQL Server database administration principals including configuration, implementation, modeling, maintenance, security, disaster recovery, availability strategies, migrations and upgrades, troubleshooting/performance tuning, TSQL.
-Expertise with configuring, implementing and supporting high availability strategies with SQL systems including MS clustering, SQL log shipping, DTS, and SQL replication
-Expertise with implementing data solutions including SQL log shipping, DTS, SQL replication.
-Expertise with SQL Server version upgrades, data and server migrations.
-Expertise with SQL Server performance tuning, optimization and troubleshooting.
-Excellent knowledge and experience with TSQL.
-Experience with planning and implementation of enterprise data storage solutions including SAN and NAS
-Experience in OS system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, and security procedures.
-Hardware systems understanding, RAID and disk subsystems particularly with database servers, troubleshooting, and replacement
-Experience with system Disaster Recovery planning and implementation.
-Use of monitoring and troubleshooting utilities to effectively diagnose problems
-Web and application server experience including administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, and security procedures.
-Basic understanding of basic internet protocols and standards such as -DNS, FTP, SSH, HTML, XML, JDBC, ODBC, SNMP and other protocols
-Basic understanding of Network systems with a focus on HTTP protocol, IP communication, load balancing equipment, and basic network troubleshooting
-Some experience in relevant scripting or programming languages (VB, ActiveX, Perl, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc)

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
-Proficient in Java/J2EE programming
-Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns
-Experience in designing database applications, including schema
definition, SQL scripting, and application interfaces to DBMS data
-Proficient in designing for performance, scalability and high
availability, and the tools/methodologies involved
-Proficient in use of standard web languages/protocols, including

-Proficient in use of scripting and utility tools such as ANT,
