Only a 45-minute flight
north of Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang, is
nestled, virtually untouched by time in a steep
valley at the confluence of the Nam Khan and
Mekong Rivers and largely consists of a single
long street stretching from the ancient temple
of Xieng Thong at one end to the morning market
at the other. It is the jewel of Indochina and a
UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. |
