If you haven’t experienced a desert sunrise or basked in the wonder of its brilliant star and moonlit nights, don’t despair. Desert Adventures, the 16-year old red jeep eco-tour and special events company, will operate two incredible and “cool tours” at great savings, from June 15th – September 15th.
The Cool Morning San Andreas Fault Adventures take visitors on a first hand look at the San Andreas Fault – which runs right through the Palm Springs Desert Resorts – as well as the flora, fauna and natural wonders of the Colorado-Sonoran desert. Steep canyons, torturous terrain and geology combine for a perfect desert adventure. Tours depart about 7 a.m., when the summer desert air is fresh and cool. 2 & 3 hour adventures available.
For night owls, the Cool Night Watch Adventure provides guests the best of both worlds, beginning with an exploration of the desert at dusk turning to a nocturnal voyage among surreal shadows and darkness on a cooling desert landscape. Guides bring halogen lamps to light up the canyon walls and the occasional desert animal. Tours depart between 6 and 7 p.m. depending on sunset. 3 hour adventures available
