Money is generally available for pick-up at Western Union Agent locations promptly after validation of sender information, which may take up to 24 hours in some cases - whether in the United States, Canada, or throughout the world. Some destinations outside the United States may take longer.

Fees vary depending on such factors as: the service selected, the point of origin, the point of destination, and the amount of money being sent. Your agreement with your card issuer governs the use of your card, and you must refer to that agreement to ascertain your rights and liabilities as a cardholder, which may include a "cash advance" fee.

The maximum amount of money you can send each month is $900.

In most cases, money transfers can be paid out in cash. However, depending on the amount sent and the location, some money transfers will be paid out by check, or in a combination of cash and a check. Transactions outside the United States are generally paid in the local currency. However, in some countries transactions are always paid in U.S. Dollars. Other currencies may be available for funds payout depending on the country. The recipient may be required to show a valid form of ID. Other restrictions may apply.

You cannot send a money transfer from this website using cash. However, you may send money by visiting one of our Western Union Agent locations. You will need to fill out the "To send money" form with the following information: your name, address, telephone number, the receiver's name, location to be picked up, and the principal dollar amount. The transfer amount and transaction fee is provided to the agent in cash.

If you have a Visa^® or MasterCard^® credit or debit card, you can send a money transfer now -- directly from this website. Or, you may call 1-800-CALL-CASH to send a money transfer using a credit or debit card. You will receive a Money Transfer Control Number [MTCN] as confirmation. Money transfers using a credit or debit card may only be originated using a card issued in the United States.

You may choose "Sender Inquiry" on the Send & Receive Money page of our website to obtain the status of your money transfer. All you need is your name and the Money Transfer Control Number [MTCN] to verify if the money transfer has been paid.

You may choose "Receiver Inquiry" on the Send & Receive Money page of our website to determine if funds are available for you. All you need to provide is your name, the sender's name, and the sender's telephone number to determine if funds are available.

You may pick up your money transfer at any Agent location. You will need to complete a "To Receive Money" form with the following information: name, address, telephone number, amount expected, as well as the sender's name, telephone number, city and state being sent from. Valid identification is also required. Some restrictions may apply.

Drivers License, State ID, current passport or tourist card, Government ID with photograph, or Alien ID is required.

A bank card can be a credit card issued by MasterCard^® or Visa^®. A bank card can also be a debit card which carries the MasterCard or Visa logo but does not require the use of a pin number.
