To change your settings, click the "Options" button on the Webcam Upload screen, and the Webcam Settings dialog box will open.
You can choose from these possible access settings:
- Everyone -- Anyone can view your webcam. This is what you should select if you add your webcam to your web site.
- Always ask me before allowing anyone -- Whenever someone tries to view your webcam, you will receive a dialog box asking if you would like to let this person access your webcam.
- Friends -- Only the user names you specify can view your webcam.
- Allow people in the chat room I am in -- Anyone in a chat room with you will be able to view your webcam. When you leave the chat room, they will no longer have access to your webcam.
- If a user is not on my list, ignore all requests to view my webcam -- This allows you to block all requests to view your webcam from anyone not on your Friends List.
You can choose to restrict webcam access to certain Yahoo! friends or make your webcam completely public. However, if you have added your webcam on your GeoCities web site, you should select "Everyone" in the settings. This will ensure that any visitor to your site will see your webcam.
Remember that whatever setting you choose will be valid across whatever Yahoo! property you use webcam with. If you choose "Everyone," your webcam will be public for everyone on your Yahoo! GeoCities site and when you are in Yahoo! Chat.
