NETWORK NEWS - VOLUME 1 ISSUE 3 Dear Mercury Network Customer, It's been a couple months since we last wrote, and it's time we bring you up to speed on all of the enhancements we've made to your Mercury Network service! First, we've added 128-bit SSL encryption to the Mercury Network Account Manager. As part of this change, the web address to reach the Account Manager changed to https://www.mercury.net/accountmanager. Old addresses of the Account Manager have been set up to forward to this new, secure address. Making the Account Manager secure means that you can make password and credit card changes on that site with confidence. Enhancements to our E-mail services are now complete. When you visit the Mercury Network Account Manager at https://www.mercury.net/accountmanager, log in with your main User ID and Password. Go to Services and select the package where your E-mail addresses are. When you get to the details of your E-mail address, you will see many new features available to you. Features include: Virus Protection, SPAM Filtering, Forwarding, Auto Replies, and Message Footers. With the exception of Virus Protection, which is always On, all other features are completely configurable by you. SPAM Filtering is turned On by default. If you are a Web Hosting customer, you will be contacted be a Mercury Network Provisioning representative in the weeks to come to migrate your E-mail services to the new servers where you can take advantage of the enhanced E-mail features. With this change, the number of mailboxes included with each E-mail package is also being increased. The changes are as follows: Basic Web: 10 Mailboxes previously, 25 Mailboxes after the change Intermediate Web: 20 Mailboxes previously, 50 Mailboxes after the change Plus Web: 40 Mailboxes previously, 75 Mailboxes after the change Advanced Web: 60 Mailboxes previously, 100 Mailboxes after the change We want to make the Mercury Network Account Manager a useful tool for you to view and manage all of your Mercury Network services. In addition to these enhanced E-mail capabilities, we've introduced our best Web Mail ever. You can check your E-mail from anywhere on the Internet at http://webmail.mercury.net. It's fast, it's easy, and we're sure you're going to like it. Check it out today at http://webmail.mercury.net and give us your feedback. Be aware that the old Web Mail system is still available at http://oldwebmail.mercury.net:8080/emumail.fcgi through June 9. If you have address book entries or messages on the old web mail system, you need to copy them down and move them to the new system manually. The old web mail system, and any address book entries and messages on the old web mail system, will be lost after June 9, 2002. The final enhancement we'd like to announce is improvements to our Billing Statements. Your Mercury Network Billing Statement now lists all of the services we are providing to you, such as your E-mail Addresses, Domains, and Web Sites. If you are a Web Hosting customer, your E-mail Addresses will begin to show up after we convert you from the old Web Hosting E-mail Servers to the new Web Hosting E-mail Servers.
