Keep America Beautiful Kicks-off
2004 Great American Cleanup

Millions of volunteers dedicate their time and energy each year to preserve and protect our nation’s public lands and open spaces. By volunteering to clear trails, remove litter and assist with ongoing cleaning and maintenance activities, volunteers help ensure safe and meaningful experiences for millions of individuals who visit our nation’s parks, monuments and natural resources.

This year, individuals and families can demonstrate their environmental stewardship by participating in the Keep America Beautiful 2004 Great American Cleanup. During March, April and May, volunteers will participate in an estimated 30,000 activities around the country such as restoring playgrounds and recreation areas, planting trees and flowers and removing litter and debris.
