Mission Statement:
The New millennium Accrediting
Partnership For Educators Worldwide, or N.A.P.F.E.W.
is, as per our mandate a worldwide accreditation
association founded in part to establish and promote a
progressive set of international standards in higher education
among distance learning or online colleges and universities
worldwide.
While not a recognized regional
accrediting agency as per the U.S. Department of Education
criteria, N.A.P.F.E.W. (New Millennium Accrediting Partnership
For Educators Worldwide) accreditation is intended to help
ensure that degrees issued by a member organization possess
the "potential for acknowledgment" they require to stand a
chance of being accepted by institutions and companies here in
the United States and elsewhere in the world.
Our guiding philosophy becomes
self-evident when taken in the context of serving as an
accrediting agency; "Education, knowledge, skill, ability and
wisdom belong to the INDIVIDUAL…regardless of how or where he
or she gained it." N.A.P.F.E.W. is predicated upon the belief
of Goodwill to humanity. The practical application of
goodwill is, Service. We wish to provide a voice to
those that have none. Through a heightened consciousness and
increased awareness brought about by education, it is our
sincerest desire to help bring about a more humane,
logical, and equitable approach to the problems facing the
world and its various nations and peoples.
About Accreditation:
In the
United States, accreditation
is used to assure quality in
schools or educational institutions and programs. It should
be noted that accreditation is a voluntary, non-governmental
process of review and evaluation.
NAPFEW
recognition and accreditation:
N.A.P.F.E.W. recognition is
implicit by virtue of the acceptance of an individual that is
the holder or recipient of a degree from an institution
accredited by N.A.P.F.E.W. In this way N.A.P.F.E.W. has been
accepted or approved by numerous prestigious businesses and
schools both internationally and in the United States.
N.A.P.F.E.W. accreditation of a school or degrees issued from
said institution have been accepted or approved of by many
foreign countries, governments and dignitaries. Please note
however that N.A.P.F.E.W. has not been recognized by one of
the six regional accrediting agencies recognized by the United
States Department of Education
Accreditation in the United
States:
The following statements are
taken verbatim from the
U.S. Department of Education
Website
The United States has no
Federal Ministry of Education or other centralized authority
exercising single national control over postsecondary
educational institutions in this country. The States assume
varying degrees of control over education, but, in general,
institutions of higher education are permitted to operate with
considerable independence and autonomy. As a consequence,
American educational institutions can vary widely in the
character and quality of their programs.
Accreditation does not provide
automatic acceptance by an institution of credit earned at
another institution, nor does it give assurance of acceptance
of graduates by employers. Acceptance of students or
graduates is always the prerogative of the receiving
institution or employer. For these reasons, besides
ascertaining the accredited status of a school or program,
students should take additional measures to determine, prior
to enrollment, whether or not their educational goals will be
met through attendance at a particular institution. These
measures should include inquiries to institutions to which
transfer might be desired or to prospective employers….
NAPFEW Organization:
N.A.P.F.E.W. is international
in scope. The New Millennium Accrediting Partnership For
Educators Worldwide has affiliates or participating
educational institutions in 7 countries on 4 continents.
NAPFEW will strive to make its services available to all who
desire them and who meet our membership requirements.
NAPFEW will strive to maintain
a flexible yet progressive, liberal set of standards
commensurate with our founding philosophy. This will in part
be brought about by a high degree of acceptance from the more
enlightened amongst us and from within the confines of the
current political - social and educational - corporate world
structure.
NAPFEW exists in part, to
represent schools that cannot or CHOOSE not to receive
traditional "accreditation,” and yet desire or strive to
provide a quality service to the public.
Conclusion:
Any educational institution or
organization is eligible to apply for membership in NAPFEW.
It is an empirically verifiable fact that many of the
graduates from a NAPFEW accredited institution or program are
among the highest caliber, most intelligent, talented,
best-educated and most effective individuals you will find
anywhere.
NAPFEW makes no promises,
representations, nor guarantees of employment or acceptability
of transfer credits to any public or private educational
institution. If you are seeking a University degree for a
specific licensing, employment or additional educational
purpose, we advise you to first check with the association,
governmental agency, employer, or specific educational
institution to determine the acceptability of a NAPFEW
accredited degree program.
The programs and or
institutions NAPFEW may currently accredit or may possibly
accredit in the future are currently not designed to meet, any
specific local, state, territorial, regional, or national
licensing or credentialing laws. Further, being
non-traditional in nature, our programs are not designed to
meet a particular requirement established by any private
association, or "traditional" licensing or accrediting
organization.
Title IV
Note:
Accreditation by N.A.P.F.E.W. does not enable the entity it
may accredit to establish eligibility to participate in any
Title IV programs.
Per the U.S. Dept of
Education: As one of the
“Functions of Accreditation”
is: “Providing one of several
considerations used as a basis for determining eligibility for
Federal (financial) assistance,” it should be noted that
students enrolled in non-traditional schools not accredited by
a U.S. Dept.of Education approved accrediting agency, are not
eligible for Federal financial assistance.
