Pesticide problems
Pesticides are toxic chemicals used to kill or control pests (including insects, weeds, diseases) in agriculture, urban areas and for public health purposes. Their widespread introduction into the environment, often without adequate safeguards, create problems:

Solving the problems
PAN UK projects and outreach enable us to work effectively at different levels and reach a wide range of those in a position to help solve pesticides problems. We work with government regulators, policy makers, farmers, NGOs, development and environment organisations, trade unions, consumers, journalists and the public, see our Annual Review for 2002 [PDF - 614KB]
