Although there are
other clinics which offer $3 grafts (or
less), be careful of what you are getting
and read the fine print. This
price is only for FOLLICULAR grafts,
which are the most popular grafts in use
today. Follicular grafts (consisting
of 1-2 hairs) are FANTASTIC for creating
frontal hair lines where transplanted
grafts should be less noticeable.
However, larger size grafts
are acceptable and preferred for the
crown and mid-scalp (away from frontal
hair lines) because they give you a
GREATER DENSITY OF HAIR! (some
clinics call this combination a
"vari-grafting" approach).
With the larger
size grafts, you are going to be paying
less per actual hair. For example,
a mini graft consisting of say 5 hairs,
will cost you .60 cents per hair with
AHTC, (5 hairs ÷ 3 dollars = .60 cents
per hair).
To achieve the same density
with follicular grafts, you would need at
least three grafts consisting of 2 hairs
each. Those three grafts, charged at the
same price of $3 per graft, would cost
you $9. Now your cost per hair
has gone up to $1.50.
More than twice as
much per hair! - Understand the big
difference?
The minimum
procedure of grafts Atlantis
with Atlantis Hair Transplant Clinic is
500 grafts. The minimum amount
you will ever have to pay for your
surgery is $1,500, ($3 x 500). This is
one of the lowest hair graft minimums you
will ever find in the USA. ( Most
Doctors don't want to waste their time on
what they consider "small
procedures" whether it is more
beneficial to you or not.)
Most other firms will not
give you a transplant for less than 1,000
grafts. Even if they did charge $3 or $2,
the minimum you would have to pay is
$2,000 to $3,000.
Another thing to be
careful of is firms that say they charge
$2 per graft, or $3 per graft - but read
the fine print. This is usually the price
per graft AFTER you pay the full price on
say 1,000 grafts. This is called a
sliding scale fee. In other words, the
more grafts you have implanted, the less
cost per graft. Don't ever let a hair
transplant clinic talk you into getting
more grafts just because they are cheaper
when you buy more. This "buy cheaper
in bulk" mentality is a slick,
tricky and unethical sales tool to get
more money out of you.
Atlantis does not have a
sliding scale fee system. Your price is
only and always, $3 per graft, minimum
500 grafts. And we have one of the lowest
"minimum" size surgery in the
USA.

per graft with other firms is $6-9.
Clinics charging $4 and $5 per graft
(with or without stipulations) are also
common. If the average cost per graft is
between $4 and $9 we get $6.50 per graft.
