Q. Can I fly directly into the Comox Valley?
A. Yes. You can fly directly into the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ). There are several flights daily from the Vancouver International Airport as well as from Calgary and Edmonton. The new Comox Valley Airport will be completed in April of 2004 and will be offering international flight capabilities including customes facilities. See the Travel Info page for more details. If your travel agent is having difficulty making bookings to the Comox Valley, please give him/her our airport designator code "YQQ".
Q. What is the climate like in the Comox Valley?
A. The Comox Valley is a coastal marine environment, with warm, dry summers and short, mild winters. The Valley is one of the few places in Canada where, in the winter months, you can ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon! The coldest month is normally January (not very cold!) and the warmest is usually July.

Q. How large is Vancouver Island? Can I visit it all in one day?
A. You will definitely need more than one day to visit Vancouver Island. The Island is almost six times the size of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and is almost twice the size of the US State of Hawaii. It is 454 kms (282 miles) long, 100 kms (62 miles) wide, with an area of 32,134 square kms (12,408 square miles). The Comox Valley is located about mid-way on Vancouver Island's east coast.
Q. What is the CirclePac tour?

For example, you could start your circle tour in Vancouver, take the ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island, travel up island to the Comox Valley, and after staying a few days in the Valley, take the ferry to Powell River on the Sunshine Coast and then travel back to Vancouver, taking two smaller ferries along the way. Q. Can I get the GST tax back on purchases I make in Canada?
A. If you are a non-resident of Canada, you can claim a refund for the Goods & Services Tax (GST). There are certain conditions regarding eligible goods, receipts, etc, and two methods of obtaining your rebate.
