1.         Introduction.

The number of confirmed forward on line bookings achieved for our Hosts in February 2004 was much higher than expected. 

Our records go back 4 years and the past pattern has been that forward bookings begin to drop off  each February and continue to decline in the following months  before beginning to rise again in August each year, reaching a peak in November and remaining about that November level until the next February.

This February however was different.  42% of our Hosts received confirmed bookings and the number of confirmed bookings was 50% higher than budgeted for.

Our February North Island trip was completed successfully.  As a result, www.nzhomestay.co.nz will gain new Hosts over the next few months from a number of areas in which our web site does not have representation. 

Hosts in these new areas will further increase our Internet exposure and provide an even better service for overseas guests booking their NZ holiday from this web site.

We are now sure, from an examination of our statistics, that we are bringing a greater proportion of relevant visitors to our web site than in the past.

We will continue to market all of our individual Hosts, all of the Area Pages, Region Pages and the Web Site itself to as many search engines and directories as we can during this coming year.
