The Seafarer's Memorial sits across the Homer Harbor overlooking Kachemak Bay. This memorial was founded in early 1990s by the North Pacific Fisheries Association as a memorial to honor those lost at sea. A state grant and fundraiser was used for materials and supplies, community volunteers provided the labor and Mark Degraffenried provided the sculpture's design. Individual brick purchases used in the memorial are available in support of this effort by contacting:
