Mammoth Lakes & Mammoth Mountain Book Now for Spring
The Mammoth Lakes resort has 12 feet of snow for skiing and riding. Do you think it is going to melt by Spring Break. Hardly! The town fills up for nearly the whole month of April as different schools take their breaks differently. Book early as lodging gets scarce. It's warm days, cool nights, shorts and tank tops on the slopes. For great buys, check out the Special Deals area in Travel. Cheaper than if you plan the trip yourself. Or use our centralized reservation service to compare and save on condos and hotels.
Thank goodness for the flakes! It is currently snowing and that is good news as it has been unseasonably warm. Spring Break will be glorious. Last week we had yet another foot of snow. With our expected snow, XC is still happening. But it won't last long. The sun has been shining, so if you like the backcountry, come on up before the flowers of Spring poke out their heads.
The City Concierge operates centralized lodging for condos and hotels. You can see all our available lodging in Mammoth, and compare prices. Discounts for 4 or more night stays are automatically calculated. The hotel section has almost every hotel in town, and you can shop price, and availability. Now that is service...from the City Concierge! Get the Info!
Mammoth is known for its Mountain, but there are a ton of other activities to do if you don't ski. Sledding and snowman building to start, but if you want to take some day trips, there are quite a few that are fun for all. A great place to start is at the Visitors Center which is at the entrance to town. You can get maps and great information from the Forest Service. We have a good number of the day trips online in the activities section.
Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain both have great snowboard terrain parks, pipes, and lifts galore. Haven't learn to ride a board yet? Spring season is a great time to get into Ski School and give the "dark side" a try. Lift and Lodging packages can help you save on the cost to come to Mammoth. We do all the bargaining so you don't have to, you just get the deal.
The best value in Mammoth are the season passes. If you haven't heard, they sell out every year. There is a limited time to get one, so don't delay. They go on sale on April 1, 2004 for 30 days only or until they sell out, which ever comes first. The cost is $425.00 which means 7 days of skiing pays for the pass. It is still the deal of the century. Available at the Mammoth Mountain Website only.
