education group members

Education Group membership is open to all non-profit-making education groups whose pupils/students/members are in full-time education. The subscription rates are banded according to the nature of the organisation and the number on roll.

An Education Group membership card entitles its holder to take groups of pupils/students/members on pre-booked educational visits to properties owned by the National Trust or the National Trust for Scotland, at the published opening times.

Membership
Each card entitles a group of up to 60 to free admission to Trust properties on pre-booked visits. A group comprises pupils/students/members together with their teachers/leaders in a ratio of 10:1. The card can be used for as many pre-booked visits as required during the year.

An Education Group member may subscribe for more than one card at the appropriate subscription rate, eg for visiting in groups larger than 60 or for groups visiting different properties at the same time. Please note that the number admitted to a property at any one time is at the discretion of the Administrator or Property Manager.

Each card admits two teachers/leaders from the named Education Group for a preparatory visit. All visits must be booked in advance.

Normal party admission fees will be charged if the group's leader is unable to present a valid membership card. If you lose your membership card, please contact the Membership Department for a replacement.

When special education activities are available there will be additional charges.

Education Group members receive the Trust's membership mailings three times a year with The National Trust Magazine and Trust Tracks (the poster-format newsletter for young members) and, twice a year, Time Tracks our education supplement. The members' handbook and the National Trust Theatre programme are sent annually.

For membership that begins immediately, enquire at any National Trust property, shop or countryside information point.
