ATTENTION: PARADE ROUTE HAS BEEN REVERSED. PARADE WILL BEGIN AT 4600 E. OAK ISLAND DRIVE AND END AT MCGLAMERY STREET. To participate in the 2003 Christmas By The Sea Parade, please fill out and mail in the application below. No Fee for Non-Profit Organizations/Clubs. Judging Criteria - Color, Theme, Overall Beauty and Originality will be judged separately. Each category on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being excellent. 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place & Judges Award. Judging begins at 2:00pm. We will not judge rented floats. Beauty Queens must provide car, banner and driver. Limited to first 25 applications. $25.00 registration fee per queen or $50 registration fee for multiple queens in the same unit (within safety). No queens under 16 years old will be allowed to ride on the back of a car. Horse units must have a scooper in their unit to participate. Please sign the liability release below. By officially entering the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Festival, I do hereby acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and at my own risk. I further agree to hold harmless the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce for any property damage or personal injury which may be occasioned to me, those on my unit, unit and/or parade entry.
