As you have probably noticed, the amount of SPAM previously pouring
into your mailbox has slowed to a near trickle. No, we're not down.
No, the SPAMmers haven't stopped. Yes, we know what is happening!
This past Monday, we deployed our next generation anti-SPAM service
-- SPAM Stopper 3 -- and we are pleased to say it is
working extremely well. The system is catching over 99% of SPAM
coming into the system. Previously, we identified about 2.5 million
SPAM messages a month. At the current rate, we will identify about
5 million SPAM a month -- a 100% increase over our previous SPAM
Stopper!
You can view the messages that have been identified as SPAM by
logging into the Account Manager at https://www.mercury.net/accountmanager.
Go to the Services tab. Select the e-mail address
you want information about and click the SPAM Stopper option
on the left. At the bottom, you can choose to see a list of messages
that have been identified as SPAM. Additionally, if you have chosen
to have your SPAM messages Quarantined (held temporarily, and not
delivered), you can view them by logging into Mercury Messenger
at http://webmail.mercury.net
and clicking on the Quarantine option at top.
