2004 Platinum Points

Northwest Airlines is pleased to announce the 2004 Platinum Points promotion!

Platinum Points is available to our WorldPerks® Platinum Elite members residing in North America. This exclusive promotion is being offered in addition to the industry leading benefits your WorldPerks Platinum Elite membership provides, and is designed to reward and thank our best customers. From the date your 2004 Platinum Elite status is effective through February 28, 2005, you can earn points from a variety of qualifying activities that can add up to an exciting array of Platinum Points Rewards.

Each time you reach a Platinum Points reward threshold, we will send you an E-mail notification with a special link to our website where you can choose a Platinum Points Reward. All Platinum Elite members are already enrolled in the promotion, but as all Platinum Points reward notifications will be delivered via e-mail it is important that you remain subscribed to NWA E-mail. Platinum Points are cumulative. You can continue earning points throughout the 2004 Elite year to advance to the higher levels which offer even more exciting travel rewards. Platinum Elite members can track Platinum Points progress on nwa.com.

• Only Platinum Elites are permitted to participate in this promotion. Platinum Points are earned from the date that the member's status reflects Platinum Elite and are not retroactive.
• This offer is valid only for Platinum Elite WorldPerks members whose WorldPerks mailing address is in North America.
• You must remain subscribed to receive NWA E-mail in order to receive reward notifications.
• The WorldPerks Platinum Elite account number registered for the promotion must be used when completing any qualifying activities.
• This promotion is only valid through the 2004 Platinum Elite year which runs from March 1, 2004 through February 28, 2005.
• Qualifying travel (roundtrip or one-way) must be on a paid NW published fare ticket and is valid only on Northwest or KLM operated flights 1-1999, Northwest codeshare flights 8200-8749 operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines or Northwest Airlink flights 2700-3699 operated by Mesaba or 3700-3799, 5600-5979 operated by Pinnacle Airlines.  One-Way Travel is defined as an initial origination and final destination regardless of the number of segments. Continuing flights scheduled within 4 hours on domestic itineraries (24 hours on International) are considered connections and will be counted as part of a single one-way trip, regardless of the number of tickets issued. 
• Qualifying travel will be eligible for points regardless of purchase date of the ticket as long as travel takes place between the date your 2004 Platinum status is effective and February 28, 2005.

• You may only select one reward at each level. Once you make your selection, you will receive a confirmation page that should be printed for your records. Once selections are confirmed, your selection is final. No exceptions are allowed.
• Platinum Points Rewards must be selected by May 31, 2005. Otherwise the rewards will be forfeited.
• Platinum Points have no cash value.
• Northwest is the final authority on interpretation of these rules.
