LAS VEGAS - Persistent rain showers forced NHRA officials to cancel Friday's qualifying for the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The $1.8 million race is the fourth of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.
Saturday's professional sessions (11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.) will run as scheduled, pending weather conditions. Final eliminations are set for Sunday at 11 a.m.
The value of tickets purchased for Friday can be applied to ticket purchases for Saturday or Sunday this weekend, the fall event here in October or this race next season.
ESPN2 will televise two hours of qualifying highlights from the Summitracing.com Nationals at 10 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, April 3, and broadcast two hours of final eliminations coverage at 11 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, April 4.
