Base yourself, in peace and comfort, at our home Wharehau which is set within our 300 hectare sheep and cattle farm. From here you can venture out to view, taste and enjoy the beauty of the Hawkes Bay region.

You may wish to view the only gannet colony nesting on the mainland. The birds are here October to May of each year.

Perhaps you may take time to tour Napier, the "Art Deco Capital of the World." There are guided tours but if you prefer to be independent, a map is available.

Should you plan to get a “taste” of the region, then wine trails and tours are for you. Both red and white wines produced in this area have received World Awards. Our home cooked dinners, using local produce will also add to the enjoyment of your stay.

Our local river offers you a trout fishing opportunity. If you require a guide, this will be organised and if you really want to get away from it all a log cabin is availiable

Just 40 minutes away is a wonderful sandy beach where, if time and weather permit, sea fishing can be arranged. Here, a bach is available as your accommodation.
