The Kenai Peninsula has several fishing sites that are handicapped accessible.

Russian River

At the Tawah Ferry Crossing at Mile 55 of the Sterling Highway. There is an accessible fishing area adjacent to the ferry dock.

Centennial Park in Soldotna

Heading south on Sterling Highway, turn left at the Fred Meyer stop light and drive a quarter of a mile. An accessible campground is on the right with fishing from the boat landing.

Anchor River

Mile 157 of the Sterling Highway. The public campground has a gravel fishing platform.

Hidden Lake

Sterling Highway, Mile 58. Take Skilak Lake Road seven miles to the campground. Handicapped- accessible campsites, rest-rooms, paved sites and roads.

Kenai River

Big Eddy State Recreation Area off the Kenai Spur Highway, 2 miles from the Sterling Highway on Big Eddy Road. .

Homer Spit Fishing Lagoon

Hard surface walkway at the Fishery Enhancement Lagoon, "The Ol' Fishin Hole."

Lower Russian River Lake

Famous for rainbow trout. A state Forest Service cabin is accessible via float plane 25 minutes from Seward or 22 minutes from Cooper Landing. The cabin has ramps at the front and rear doors, a large pit toilet, boat dock and ramp for wheelchair users. However, there is no boardwalk connecting the cabin to the dock. A boat is provided.
