The Economic Development Commission (EDC) for Brunswick County is a non-profit agency formed in 1963 by the General Assembly of North Carolina. The objectives of Brunswick County EDC are:

• To promote industrial development that will be beneficial to Brunswick County

• To furnish advice and assistance to manufacturing and industrial prospects which may locate in the County and to existing manufacturers and industries
