Privacy notice
BuildIQ collects your name and an employeeidentification number from you before you are able to begin a training course. Individual users who are responsible for payment for individual courses must also supply a valid credit card number with its expiration date in order to be permitted to register for a training course. If you are accessing a training course through an Internet portal sponsored by one of our ecommerce promotional partners, such as a local Home Builders' Association or Internet publisher, we may also collect information regarding your employment or business affiliation at the time of registration.

Your name and identification number are collected before you can begin a training course, and each time you logon for the course, in order to confirm your authorization for the training course. We also collect information enabling us to confirm that you have reviewed each page of the training course, as well as your scores on the assessment at the end of the course. We use this information to track and report your completion of the course and your score to you and/or your employer or other course sponsor (if you are taking this course to fulfill a certification requirement). If you are accessing a training course through an Internet portal sponsored by one of our ecommerce promotional partners, we may report your name, employment or business affiliation, and the courses for which you have registered, to our promotional partner.

Your progress history and scores (without individual identifying information) will also be used by BuildIQ to evaluate and improve our training courses. BuildIQ may disclose to third parties and to our promotional partners the progress history and assessment scores of persons who take its training courses, on an aggregate or statistical basis and without personal identifying information.

Privacy consent
In order to access and complete the training course, you must enter your name and identifying number and may be asked to supply additional information as described above. If you are taking the training course to satisfy a job training or supplier certification requirement, you have given your consent to disclose personal information (including course progress and scores) to your employer or certifying supplier by logging on to the training course. If you are taking the training course on the basis of a referral from one of our ecommerce or other promotional partners, by registering for a course you have given your consent to disclose your name, work affiliation and course registration(s) (but not progress or scores) to the promotional partner.

Access
After you have completed a training course and taken the assessment, you will be able to access and download your scores on the assessment as well as your subscores on specific topics covered in the training course for a limited time.

Security
BuildIQ uses several security measures to ensure that your information is protected from loss, misuse or alteration while under our control. Although we cannot guarantee that your information will not be lost, misused or altered, we make every effort to prevent such things from happening. Although BuildIQ has attempted to incorporate appropriate security features in its ecommerce functionality, BuildIQ does not guarantee the security of credit card information provided to us by individual users and will not be responsible for appropriation of such information by unauthorized parties.
