Wednesday night
Outbreaks of rain spreading east overnight, affecting N Ireland, Scotland, parts of N England, N Wales and the N Midlands. Some persistent rain likely. Elsewhere, dry with clear spells, especially at first.

Last Updated: 0:05 3/6/2004
 Outlook
Thursday
Some brighter spells likely across southern parts, where it should be mainly dry. Elsewhere, a lot of cloud with outbreaks of rain or drizzle likely at times, especially central areas. Brighter in N Scotland later.

Friday
A lot of cloud at first but it should brighten up with some warm sunshine, the best of this in southern parts. Perhaps a few showers, mainly across the Midlands. Patchy rain reaching N Ireland and W Scotland later.
