We at BuildingGreen, Inc. respect your right to privacy and believe you have a right to know and control how we might use your personal information. We never share, sell, or rent your e-mail address.

The information we collect and how we use it

Customers: If you order products from us or subscribe to our newsletter or Premium Web Content, we will ask for contact information so that we may process and contact you about your order. Unless you tell us otherwise (see customer privacy options, below), we will contact you from time to time with news and special offers on our green building information resources and services. We will also occasionally share your name and postal address (never e-mail) with other carefully screened organizations whose programs or services might be of interest to you

We may request some additional information about your occupation and business. This information is only for our internal purposes, to help us better understand our customers and their needs. We may summarize this information when describing our customers (for example, "x percent of subscribers are architects") but never in a way that is individually identifiable.

Bulletin requesters: If you request a free subscription to our semi-monthly e-mail bulletin we will ask for your name and e-mail address. This information will be used to deliver your bulletin, and occasionally to provide information about our green building resources. It will never be shared, rented, or sold.

Website visitors: If you download a free sample issue of Environmental Building News from our website we will ask for your name and e-mail address. This information will be only be used by us to follow-up on your request and provide information about our green building resources. It will never be shared, rented, or sold.

Customer privacy options

We assume that customers want to receive news and special offers on our green building information resources, but you may choose not to at any time. If you do not want to receive this information, just select "don't contact me" on the order form, or tell us when you place a phone order.

We assume that customers want to occasionally receive information from other carefully screened organizations whose programs or services might be of interest, but you may choose not to at any time. If you do not want us to share your name, select "don't share my name" on the order form, or tell us when you place a phone order.

Security Policy

Any information you send via our secure order form is protected.
