The Ford annual Motocross competition arrives in Mammoth from June 17-27. If you're a rider be sure get all the details at the Mammoth Motocross site. If you're a spectator and fan, you need to book your reservations and get tickets to all the fun events that are happening in and around town. Our ACTIVITIES area will help you with all the events. And lodging is available in our central reservation area or in the travel section.
Don't get trapped in town. Go into the backroads. There are trails designated for foot traffic and motorized traffic that can take you to high mountain lakes, panoramic vistas, rocky canyons, dense forest and desert plateaus. The Inyo National Forest holds a world of adventures. To assist you in maintaining your bearings, pick up an Inyo National Forest Map at the Visitor Centeron Highway 203 as you enter town. A good collection is in our Maps Department and some tips are in the day tours section of the activities area.

Each Summer season Parks and Rec has special day camps for visitors and residents. These camps take advantage of the Mammoth outdoors and include outdoor games, exploring, map reading and lots of fun. Each day is a different hike along with the activities.
