Originator: is defined as a mortgage broker, mortgage banker, bank, savings and loan, credit union or any other financial institution that uses Myers web sites or web site products, lead generation services through LoanApp.com, advertising services through BestRate.com and various back office functions through OriginatorNetwork.com.

Consumer: is defined as a visitor to an Originator’s consumer facing web site.

Vendor: is defined as a third party company that offers services to Originators and Consumers. Vendor services may be offered on Originator’s consumer facing web site (e.g. Auto Loans, Credit Cards) or on Originator Network (e.g. Appraisals, Credit Reports, etc.).

Originator data: We do not sell or otherwise provide information to third parties about your company, unless you specifically request us to do so. If you order services that are provided by third parties (e.g. credit reports, appraisals, etc.) we will pass information required to fulfill the order to the vendor that you have chosen. In addition, certain Myers Internet, Inc. products are hosted by third parties (e.g. our Livehelp product is hosted by another company). In this case, we will need to share basic information about your company to be able to provide this service.

From time to time, we may send you special offers from Myers Internet, Inc. and/or our partners via email and/or fax. If you do not wish to receive these emails or faxes simply follow the opt-out procedures indicated at the bottom of the email or fax.

Consumer data: Myers Internet, Inc. obtains consumer data when consumers visit your web site, apply online or complete other online transactions. In addition, we obtain consumer data when you upload or input consumer information on Originator Network to order settlement services or perform other transactions. Myers will not sell or otherwise provide information to third parties for their independent use without your expressed permission.

When you use Originator Network to order services (credit reports, appraisals, etc) we will need to pass consumer data to those providers to fulfill the transaction. While we take every effort to ensure that those vendors protect your privacy and your consumers privacy, we make no representation or warranty regarding the services provided by these vendors. The vendor may need to collect and maintain personal information and they may have additional terms of use (including their own privacy and security policies), which you should read to fully understand how your personal information will be used by third parties that are partnered or affiliated with our Company.

Your web site may contain vendor links to other services (auto loans, credit cards, credit reports, etc) which will result in the consumer transacting with a vendor site. While Myers takes every effort to ensure that these vendors respect the consumer’s privacy, we make no representation or warranty regarding the services provided by these vendors. If you do not want your web site to contain these third party links, you may ask us to remove them at no charge.

Aggregate Information: To continuously improve our services to you, Myers Internet, Inc. will share aggregated and non-identifying information with selected partners, about consumers and originators using our services through the registration process for Originator Network, surveys, promotions with advertisers and through other carefully selected methods. Myers Internet, Inc. also publicly releases aggregate statistics about total applications generated by the Myers network of originators as well as average rates published by Myers network of originators.

Information from minors - We take special care to protect the safety and privacy of minors. As such, we specifically do not collect information about children and all of our services our designed to be used by persons over 18 years of age.

Exceptions – We disclose information whenever required by the Federal Privacy Act and other applicable state and federal laws.

We work to protect personally identifiable information stored on our web servers from unauthorized access using commercially available computer security products, such as alarm systems and keycards, as well as other security procedures and practices. This includes web servers that are stored at our corporate headquarters and collocated data centers.

We utilize firewalls to safeguard our web servers and corporate network systems. This allows us to protect and monitor these resources. We also enable virtual private networks to restrict access of certain transactions to authorized customers or third party companies where possible and practical.

We do not design, develop or deploy cookies for the storage of your personally identifiable information. We do, however, use cookies to store information to help manage the use and security of our system.

When certain (financially-sensitive) personally identifiable information is transmitted to us through our hosted web sites and stored in our systems, we provide you the capability to transmit data between browsers and our servers that allows encryption of your data. Data transmitted via our products are protected with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. In order to use the site, users are required to be running an SSL-capable browser. MS Internet Explorer 3.0 (or later) and Netscape Navigator 2.0 (or later) are all SSL-capable browsers.

Your information is also password protected by a user name and password of your choice. User IDs and passwords apply to the access, use and/or administration of our products, as well as the maintenance of information. Many of our products use digital certificates to certify their authenticity.
