For
Teachers Prevention takes the combined efforts of
everyone who comes in contact with youth. Since 1994, the
National Runaway Prevention Curriculum
has been available to schools across the country. The curriculum
guide and video, both available for
download, address who runs away and why, the lifestyles of
a runaway, and how to reach out for help. Designed for use during
National Runaway Prevention Month in November, they are available
for teachers to use alone or as a supplement to their own prevention
programs any time during the school year. We

For Concerned Adults What do you do when your child's best friend
comes to you with his problems of abuse? Is it against the law
to harbor a runaway? Sometimes it's the friend or relative,
coach, scout leader, or mentor who can provide the most help.
A healthy concern and the phone number to the National Runaway
Switchboard can provide a calm voice to an already emotional
