Join the Trust

The key purpose of the Trust is to promote the development of a Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway which will improve the local environment and the local economy, and provide new leisure opportunities.

The Trust was founded in 1994 and you can find out more about its beginings by reading A Brief History of the Trust. Creation of 3 Local Groups of the Trust

We are now setting up 3 Local Groups of the Trust, each covering a section of the chosen Waterway route. The Local Groups will have a remit to build local awareness and support, and provide a focus for local involvement. The Groups will be:-

• Bedford also covering Queens Park and Kempston - contact Marilyn Leask, at marilyn.leask@ntlworld.com or telephone 01234 401922.
• Central covering Wootton, Marston Moretaine, Lidlington and Brogborough.
• Milton Keynes also covering Broughton, Atterbury, Salford and Wavendon - contact Vernon Draper, at vernon2@btinternet.com or telephone 01980 312239.
