Plans Contents
Synthesis is an engineering design company so you might expect plans sold here to be thorough and high quality.  We think that's right.  We think our plans are very complete -- better than others we have reviewed.  Here is what our plans contain:

First,  each set of plans includes a Bill of Materials -- a list of both components and raw materials needed for construction.  The list includes sizes and options for achieving a different look or performance level.  We don't assume you are an expert, so some explaination is given where things may not be obvious.

Second,  the plans include some possible sources for acquiring the materials and components needed.

Third,  in some cases where different goals require changes, so there may be a section on Engineering Considerations to explain how to achieve different goals -- like increasing capacity.

Forth,  Our plans give Tips to help with the project.  These tips may include set-up advise, assembly directions or fixturing info.  Safety tips are also included.

Fifth,  plans include two sections . . .

  1. A Section of Instructions:

    • Most instructions include Illustrations to emphasize details like on the page shown.  Explanations are given along with options that might be applicable.

  2. A Section of Drawings:  - One of two formats are contained.  An example of each is shown.

    • The drawings may be Portrait to print "A" size (8.5" x 11") and be included as part of the illustrations with the instructions.  Or . . .

    • Some plans have Full Sheet drawings.  Full sheets can easily be printed at 8.5" x 11" or up to 22" x 17" using options in Acrobat Reader.

Note:  Some drawings such as templates may need to be printed full scale.  Instructions are included along with possible sources for getting that done.

Sixth,  Our plans include Options -- like things to customize the look or enhance performance.  There may also be hints on how to take the project one step further (even if all the details for those options are not specified).

Finally,  We provide multiple ways to get the plans.

  • Order the plans right here on-line then Download them after processing -- usually within 48 hours.  (Size, 1 - 3mb)

  • Order Printed Plans on-line and have them delivered.

  • Or, order through the mail using This Form.

Note:  Plans for download are in Adobe PDF 5.0 format, and for quicker downloading, may be bundled in a .ZIP file.  If your computer does not already have one, a free PDF reader is available at www.Adobe.com and a free ZIP utility at www.WinZip.com.

Note:  Printed plans are delivered on 8.5" x 11" and/or 11" x 17" paper as appropriate.  Templates, if needed, are printed full size.
