Sin City used to be all about gaming with the guyz. The casinos
wanted you on that floor. They needed you on that floor. But since
the mid '90s, the Strip has become increasingly tolerant, if not
down right accepting, of the area's myriad of upscale golf offerings.
Now, plans to go to Vegas also need to include tee times. Shane
Sharp handicaps the top stops, and places like TPC
Canyons and the Lexington
Course at the Revere at Anthem are at the top of the list.
If you're taking your dad out, choose the TPC at The Canyons and you'll get a little bit more of a challenge. If the two of you are playing with mom, better choose Revere at Anthem. You can't go wrong with either club, but one will leave you feeling a little better about yourself and the other will test you a little more. It's a matter of being able to handle visually intimidating golf at the TPC or more of a cozy setting at Revere.
Golf in Vegas is good to begin with, but when you add country club livin' to the mix, it becomes great. Spanish Trail Country Club, Red Rock Country Club, Anthem Country Club and TPC at Summerlin are just a handful of spots that cater to those who demand the best in golf and other amenities. From pools to spas to tennis courts to world-class restaurants, it's all right at your fingertips at these clubs.

It was a slow start for Boulder Creek Golf Club, as far as finances go, but now
things are starting to turn around. The stellar municipal track
in Boulder City, located about 25 minutes from the Las Vegas strip,
opened its third nine-hole championship golf course, Eldorado, last
fall, and the city, which owns the course, took over management
of Boulder Creek in mid-March from Triad Management Company.

With the exception of the ultra-exclusive Shadow Creek -- casino mogul Steve Wynn's magnificent creation in the otherwise barren links outpost -- the North Las Vegas region has been in dire need of an upscale golf course, or anything for that matter, to improve its image.
