CRM Technology Update

Here’s a look at CRM technologies that have been announced or released in the past month.

Upshot Corp. announced the UpShot Dashboard and integration with Lotus Notes, the two features most requested by its Fortune 1000 customers. Dashboard, available online or offline, gives executives a snapshot of the information most important to them, enabling better, faster decision making. At a glance, executives can see a forecast by territory, their company’s top 10 deals, pipeline analysis and sales activity by rep. They also can drill down to get more detailed information. With the integration with Lotus Notes users can synchronize their Lotus Notes address book, calendar and to-do list with the contacts, calendar and to-do list in UpShot. Additionally, users will be able to associate any email and attachment they send or receive with the appropriate UpShot account or contact. www.upshot.com

Avidian Technologies rolled out Prophet 2004, a CRM solution that adds sales and contact management features directly into Microsoft Outlook. With Prophet 2004, Outlook 2000/XP acts as a user’s only application for sales tracking, personalized group emails, contact management, reporting and sharing of sales information – in addition to Outlook’s email, calendar, tasks and appointments features. www.avidian.com

The product includes HitBox Active Viewing, a new browser plug-in that overlays vital statistics on a client’s Website and Themes, which enables users to customize their reports based on their job function, such as marketing or e-commerce. www.websidestory.com
