Bald Eagle

Outdoor adventure is just moments away in the Comox Valley. The cool stillness of the rainforest, alpine meadows, craggy peaks and protected coastal waters provide an ideal setting for a variety of wilderness experiences and tours.

Tour options include viewing the Valley by helicopter, boat, kayak, mountain bike, horse back or foot. Go bird watching, observe killer whales or take a trip to the Mainland to see grizzly bears. Group and private tours are available and some operators offer service in German and French.

Sea Lions on Mitlenatch Island

You don't have to go far to see wildlife in the Comox Valley. Deer are frequent visitors to gardens and golf courses and black bear are often seen spring through fall. The Comox Valley is also home to cougars, Roosevelt Elk and wolves. Adjacent ocean waters support a healthy population of seals and sea lions.

Trumpeter Swans

Bald eagles, herons, hawks and countless song and marine birds inhabit or visit the Valley's marshes, fields, forests and waterways.
