Improved energy efficiency is expected to deliver more than 60% of the Government’s Energy White Paper targets through to 2050. It will be a tough challenge but one important way we can achieve this goal is by working together through Sustainable Energy Centres (SECs).
EST sees SECs as the future - providing a holistic approach to offering consumers advice on Energy Efficiency, Transport and Renewable Energy. The SEC network will provide an infrastructure to support all organisations working toward householder sustainable energy. It will allow us to channel more resources into local activities, with real autonomy and decision making at a local level, to ensure that appropriate activities are undertaken.
In February 2004, EST hosted a series of consultation events aimed at obtaining stakeholder views
on its proposal for a network of SECs. To see the results of this consultation please
