Our ancestor,William SMITH states on his shipping papers to Australia (1855) that his native place and county was Hatton Beds. As he married a girl from Harmondsworth, near Heathrow and there is also a Hatton there, we are wondering if there is a Hatton in Beds. Not on our road atlas. Any help much appreciated. Williams father was James SMITH!

My ancestor, Robert Roebuck, came from Darton Parish, Staincross, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, to Maryland in 1674 and settled in Northumberland County, Virginia. This is a wonderful site with lots of info!
