Kenai River Guide Information

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (DPOR) has initiated numerous changes pertaining to the requirements for being a Kenai River guide in 2003. Before guiding sport anglers on the Kenai River, each guide and vessel must register annually with both ADF&G; and the Soldotna office of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources/Division of Parks. For more information call the Kenai River Center at (907) 260-4882.

ALL Kenai River Guides:

All Kenai River guides will be required to attend an orientation this season. You must attend the orientation to secure any vacant permits. Orientation dates for 2004 will be posted when available, or contact the Kenai River Center.

Kenai River Center: Is located at 514 Funny River Road, 1.2 miles from the intersection of Funny River Road and the Sterling Highway, on the left just after the "S" turn, and directly across the street from the Soldotna Airport.
