About Ullswater..
Ullswater is considered by many to be the lake districts most beautiful lake. It is 7.5 miles of pure beauty, and as you approach it from any direction you will see why. Ullswater has a beautiful backdrop of mountain scenery with sheer rock faces rising up from the lake, surrounded by fields of green and magnificent woodlands refecting variant colors into ullswater's mirroring surface. It is trully an outstanding sight, and one that you will never forget. The lake also has alot to offer the visitor, with many old villages and hamlets around it's shores, showing all aspects of lakeland life from past to present. Aswell as the stunning scenery and endless beautiful trails and walks, you will find that ullswater offers an excellent array of restaurants, craft shops, accommodation and much more to make your visit a warm and pleasurable one. The lake itself offers many of the water activities of Windermere, such as boating and sailing, and ferry tours up and down the lake but the spectacular scenery is what makes it stand out as alot of peoples favourite lake of the English lakelands.
