Cruising Yacht through Koh Chang National Park

Introduction

From last November onwards, guests cab enjoy a 4-day sailing cruise through Ko Chang National Park on the Thida, as air-conditioned cruising yacht. Leaving Ko Chang every Monday, the boat will cruise among the islands of the National Park with its varied marine and wild life. The yacht was built in 1986 in Pattaya, two aft-and a bow cabin provides comfort for up to 6 persons. There is one common bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and handbasin. The spacious saloon accommodates up to 8 people. The saloon and all of cabins are cooled by two air conditioners. The design of the pantry assures that one can stand safely in all weather conditions. The deck and seating areas are all made from teak. The main-and mizzen sail are equipped with a conventional reef, the genoa with a roll reef. Should the wind abate, sportsman-like sailors can set the spinnaker. When there is no wind at all, or if the boat has to be maneuvered, it is equipped with a 68 HP Volvo-Penta engine. For your safety there is a life-raft, life-belts and life-jackets.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 (MON): Ko Chang - Ko Wai / Ko Kham (L-D)
Transfer from your hotel at 08:00 to the embarkation pier. Sail along the west coast of Ko Chang, lunch is served on board. Dinner will be taken in a cozy restaurant on an island (Ko Wai or Ko Kham, depending on the weather), overnight on board, the Thida, at anchor.

Day 2 (TUE): Ko Wai / Ko Kham - Ko Rang - Ko Kut (B-L-D)
Breakfast is held on board. Start sailing through the National Park to Ko Rang, where scattered reefs provide a haven for a variety of soft and hard corals and tropical wildlife. Time for swimming and snorkeling. Continue sailing to Ko Kut, where you will spend the night on board at anchor. Lunch and dinner are provided on board.

Day 3 (WED): Ko Kut - Ko Wai / Ko Kham (B-L-D)
Breakfast is on board. Transfer by the dinghy through a mangrove swamp to the shore for a short trek through the jungle to a waterfall. Return to the Thida and start sailing through the National Park again while lunch is served on board. In the late afternoon anchor at either Ko Wai or Ko Kham (depending on the weather) and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant ashore. Overnight on board at anchor.

Day 4 (THU): Ko Wai / Ko Kham - Ko Chang (B-L)
After breakfast on board, time at leisure to swim in the crystal clear water and explore the corals. Then set sail heading back to the island of Koh Chang, where you will arrive between 16h00 to 17h00 at the main pier.
